Restoring the Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor is only possible through the strength of partnerships. Every tree planted, every hectare restored and every community involved begins with people and organizations choosing to invest in a more balanced future for nature and people.
Behind the work of the Black Jaguar Foundation are people at every level, from the field to fundraising, all contributing to the same mission. Creating new Corpoate and Individual partnerships is an important part of our operations, and for that, we need people who connect with partners, strengthen these relationships and create new opportunities for collaboration.
As we look towards the next stage of this journey, we are very happy to welcome Carlijn Neelissen, Mariken van den Boogaard and Gala Dahlet, three women joining us to strengthen our work in strategic partnerships and fundraising.
Below, get to know them better and hear directly from them in their testimonial videos, recorded during their recent visit to our nursery in Santana do Araguaia.
Carlijn Neelissen
In Europe, Carlijn Neelissen joins our team to expand relationships with philanthropists, companies and institutional partners. Carlijn brings extensive experience in philanthropy and strategic partnerships, with a strong background in medical philanthropy, including major donor engagement supporting medical research and innovation at Amsterdam UMC.
Mariken van den Boogaard
Also based in Europe, Mariken van den Boogaard brings more than a decade of experience in business development, international marketing, fundraising and landscape restoration across the corporate, public and environmental impact sectors, including Unilever, the City of Amsterdam and Commonland. At the Black Jaguar Foundation, she will develop new long-term impactful partnerships.
Gala Dahlet
In Brazil, Gala Dahlet joins us as Corporate and Philanthropic Partnerships Consultant. With more than 15 years of international experience across the United Nations, government and civil society, including leading programs for the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in more than 20 countries, she brings expertise in international development and climate resilience to strengthen our corporate and philanthropic partnerships.
The arrival of Carlijn, Mariken and Gala represents an important step in expanding our capacity to mobilize the resources needed to restore the Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor at scale. Together, they will help us build new alliances and bring even more partners closer to our mission of planting 10 million native trees by 2030.
Welcome to the Black Jaguar Foundation!
