We are an experienced and ambitious design studio specialized in creating captivating story-driven spatial experiences. Based in Amsterdam, our international team consists of designers, content developers, producers, and supportive staff. We are a purpose-driven team, committed to telling urgent and relevant stories—whether historical, scientific, social, or commercial—and transforming them into stories that matter. We believe in the unique power of this storytelling medium. We want to use that power for the better of society, by telling stories that matter. Stories that are urgent and relevant for the direct community of where the spatial stories are told, as well as for society at large.

Founded by Herman Kossmann and Mark de Jong in 1995, we have over 30 years of experience in the field. In 2023, Kossmanndejong welcomed three new partners: Robert van der Linde, Femke Bijlsma and Niels de Jong. Together with a dedicated team of over 30 colleagues, they are leading the studio into its next chapter, building on a strong foundation.

Sustainability is integrated into every aspect of our work—through responsible daily choices, thoughtful design that focuses on materials and energy, and projects that promote climate awareness and inspire change.

This approach closely aligns with the mission of the Black Jaguar Foundation, as both organizations move beyond ideas into concrete action. We emphasize that change begins with responsibility and action, whether through reforestation efforts or sustainable design practices. Together, we demonstrate how individual actions and organizational decisions—such as daily choices, project strategies, and partnerships—can collectively drive meaningful environmental change and inspire others to take action.
