Philippe Van Den Weghe was the founder of Van Den Weghe, which has grown to become a global player in high-end natural stones, with a sharp eye for luxury design. Several years ago, Philippe sold his company. He is proud that his successor has made the commitment to support and sponsor the Black Jaguar Foundation. These days, Philippe is just as busy as before, not with business but with realizing social and art related projects and above all as long time supporter and dedicated fundraiser for the BJF.
How I relate to the BJF
“I have been a large consumer of our precious planet, running a natural stone business for many years. These natural stones have been my passion and livelihood. However, I am fully aware that the process of mining and transport have a highly negative impact on that same nature. Now that I am retired, my commitment is to help nature. I feel it’s time for me to give back to Mother Nature, which is what I’ll do as as a lobbyist and fundraiser for the Black Jaguar Foundation.’’
